Air Canada's 787 Dreamliner Touches Down In Toronto [Video]

First airline in Canada to fly next generation 787 aircraft

Air Canada is showcasing the newest addition to its fleet, the airline's first innovative aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner completed its first voyage on Sunday. landing at Toronto's Pearson airport with 100 of the airline's employees on board, given a water cannon salute as it taxied to the terminal.

With the introduction of the 787 into the Air Canada fleet, it will further strengthen the airline position as one of the world's leading global carriers.

Air Canada is the first Canadian airline to fly the new aircraft which, with its long-range and unsurpassed fuel efficiency, will play a starring role in the airline's international expansion strategy.

Air Canada has ordered 37 of the new Dreamliner passenger jets. It features the next generation lie-flat pod in International Business Class, a new Premium Economy cabin and redesigned Economy cabin with upgraded In-Flight Entertainment system available free at every seat.
